When you enable auto-tagging, you can put the tag on your blog or your Twitter profile without having to manually enter it each time. This is because auto-tagging is a Google- or Bing- powered service that tracks your online activity for you. From that information, Google and Bing use your browsing history to deliver you the most relevant search results, which is the best possible approach for your blog or profile.
Auto-tagging is a pretty great tool for blogging, but it does require the constant input of the exact same information each time you publish a new blog post. It is a bit of a pain to manually enter, but not difficult to do. It’s a great idea for blogs, but not so great at your Twitter or Facebook accounts.
Auto-tagging can be a pain because people will know which tags they’re looking for. Google’s auto-tagging system now has a few useful features to assist you with. If you’re looking for a term like “car”, you would use “car-related”. These keywords are displayed in the search results, and you can choose to narrow your Google results to one of them.
In addition, Google can automatically tag your search results by using your search history. You can even enable auto-tagging for any of your keywords. This means that the search results will be tagged with these keywords that you search for. For instance, if you search for cars, google may display the auto tag results for that term. However, if you search for cars with tags, you may receive search results that show you car-related results.
This is a cool feature, and it’s one that we’ve been looking forward to using for a while now. It’s something we’ve considered for a while, but we didn’t actually want to use it until now. Now that Google is making auto-tagging more prominent, we think it’s a great way to give you a little more control over how much traffic you get for your keywords.

Now, if you simply search for any car-related terms, you will get auto-tagged results (search for cars with tags). If you search for your keywords, you will get results that include car-related keywords. Its a great feature for search marketing for sure.

Say you want to list your blog as a site on Google, then you can use the auto-tagging feature to mark something as a blog.
I want to see search engines like Google to automatically index my site, but I’m not sure if I trust Google. When we first discovered auto-tagging, we were a little worried that someone would set an algorithm to automatically tag our site with the phrase “fantasy baseball blog” so we’d wind up with multiple pages on our site. Thankfully, it’s not like that at all. We’re not going to see any pages we don’t want to be indexed.
