For starters, find a way to follow some people. When I first started working online, I would find myself checking my Twitter feed about every five minutes. I would read an article and think, “Oh yeah, that was just a random tweet. I didn’t even know that.” So I would check those tweets. It really helped me figure out how to get what I wanted done.

Also, don’t forget to use hashtags. I think you’ll find a lot of people are doing that. And just remember, you can always change your tweet. If you tweet that the rain is coming, you are going to be a little wet.
