If you want to have a really low production, you’re probably going to have to compromise on one thing to get to your target production level. This is why we do get to the point where we can produce the minimum amount we can. However, in order to do so, we have to cut back on other things to get there.
Most of us work at minimum production. We just dont want to give it up and risk being fired. We dont want to have to cut back on our hobbies, our entertainment, or our family activities in order to make production a little less painful. However, sometimes production can be a good thing. An example is when we can be more productive and the environment is less stressful.
Sure, we can always cut production if we want to. But we also can create a situation where production is a cost that doesn’t necessarily add to our bottom line. For example, if we can decrease production by creating a work environment where we have less to do, we can be more productive in the long run.
For the last four days, the production of Arkane Studios has been suffering from decreased productivity. The main reason for this is that the studio has been running out of money. A few weeks ago, the studio was able to raise enough money (on the order of six figures) for the studio’s next game, which was supposed to be a new IP. However, this game was cancelled.
If you take a look at the list of game projects in the Arkane Studios portfolio, you will see that the games have either been cancelled or have ended up in the hands of third parties.
